Term 1 Update
Year 4 have had a great start to the year. We have enjoyed immersing ourselves in our Romans topic, digging back into the past to find out 'what the Romans did for us!’ We can’t wait for our Roman day on the final day of term, including our Roman feast. We have also completed some exciting experiments in science, including recreating the water cycle and finding the melting point of chocolate. The children have also enjoyed learning Mamma Mia on the glockenspiel – we certainly have a lot of budding musical talent in the class and some fantastic singers too. Good luck for next term, Year 4!
Term 2 Update
Term 2 has been an exhilarating in Birch class! Our geography lessons have delved deep into the fascinating realms of earthquakes and volcanoes. We've explored where they are likely to happen, how they work, and discussed vital safety measures to protect ourselves. Meanwhile, our math sessions have been buzzing with times tables mastery, enhancing our numerical skills. In English, we've embarked on a creative journey, weaving our own mystery tales inspired by Ted Hughes' "The Iron Man," inventing unique creatures to populate our narratives. As we wrap up this term, our curiosity continues to drive our learning forward, promising more exciting adventures ahead in the months to come! Have a wonderful festive holiday Year 4s. Well done on a fantastic term 2.
